Udhampur, April 06 : District Development Commissioner Udhampur , Kritika Jyotsna (IAS) , inaugurated CCTV Camera units at Ghordi in august presence of DDC Memeber Ghordi Rakesh Chander Sharma , PRI members and other officers.
DDC member Ghordi , Rakesh Chander Sharma had given grants for installation of CCTV cameras.
Village Ghordi Nagrota and Ghordi Khas of block Ghordi are pioneer in UT with CCTV monitoring facility.
During inauguration DC Udhampur appreciated the pioneer step of DDC Ghordi Rakesh Chander Sharma and said that the installation of CCTV cameras in the villages would act momentously for public safety , preventing bovine smuggling and thefts incidents, help curbing drug menace etc.
Speaking on the occasion DDC member , Rakesh Chander Sharma ungrudgingly thanked DC Udhampur and added that these cameras would keep a sharp eye on all the incidents happening in the panchayat and help in preventing incidents like theft , bovine smuggling etc.
He also thanked local public for active support and cooperation.
