Delhi, May 28: All passengers of a Delhi to Varanasi Indigo flight were deboarded at the Delhi airport following a bomb threat on Tuesday morning.
All the passengers were evacuated via the emergency exit and moved to the isolation bay as per guidelines.
A statement by IndiGo read, “IndiGo flight 6E2211 operating from Delhi to Varanasi had received a specific bomb threat at Delhi airport at 5.35 am. All necessary protocols were followed and aircraft was taken to a remote bay as per guidelines by airport security agencies. All passengers were safely evacuated via the emergency exits. The flight is currently undergoing inspection. Post completion of all security checks, the aircraft will be positioned back in the terminal area.”

The Delhi fire service said its quick response team (QRT) arrived at the spot after receiving news of the bomb threat, while the Delhi Airport authorities confirmed that all passengers are safe.
Combing operations was carried out by the QRT including aviation security and bomb disposal squad at the airport.
