Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh chaired a meeting of the Sub Committee constituted to draw up a framework for the effective implementation of the ‘Agenda of Alliance’ in Jammu and Kashmir.
‘Agenda of Alliance’ is the document on which PDP and BJP had formed coalition government in the state under the Chief Ministership of Late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on March 1, 2016. The government was reformed under Mehbooba Mufti’s leadership in April 2016 after the demise of Mufti Sayeed, but the ‘Agenda of Alliance’ remains as it is.
The meeting was attended by Minister for Public Works and Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Rehman Veeri, Minister for Forest, Ecology & Environment, Lal Singh and Minister for Finance, Culture and Labour & Employment, Dr Haseeb Drabu.
The Sub Committee reviewed the progress with regard to the implementation of the ‘Agenda of Alliance’. It was also decided in the meeting that Chief Secretary shall prepare an Action Taken Report (ATR) with regard to implementation of the ‘Agenda of Alliance’ and accordingly brief the Sub Committee in the next meeting likely to be held in the last week of August 2016.
