 Director General of Police  Dilbag Singh on Friday  said that Jammu and Kashmir is passing through a very important phase of transition and the J&K police will have to shoulder a very important role during this  changing environment.

“ Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing a new  environment  and  this can be best described as a transition phase , and in this J&K police will have to perform a very important role. I am sure that you would be playing that role with utmost efficiency,”  the DGP  said while addressing a passing out parade at  Talwara in Reasi district .

The DGP lauded the role of J&K police that has acquired its  frontline role in fighting terrorism in. Jammu and Kashmir . “ The terrorism is in its last stage and it just needs one more push to be over from the soil of J&K once and for all,,” he said and added “ I am confident that J&K police will be able to do so for the lasting peace in Jammu and Kashmir..”

Dilbag Singh complimented the cadets who passed out and were to  join the police force . He said that he was happy to note their dedication and devotion  toward the duties that they would have to perform in the days to come.  He welcomed them into the police force.

The DGP thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah  and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for doing a lot for the police. Their encouragement inspires us.

He reiterated that the J&K police will continue to look after the families of the martyred jawans.
