Jammu and Kashmir police chief Dilbag Singh has congratulated forces on elimination of Saifullah , Chief Operational Commander of terror outfit Hizb ul Mujahideen in an encounter in Rangreth on Sunday afternoon.
Soon after the encounter was over, the DGP , in a message, congratulated security forces for the stunning success of eliminating the terrorist who had taken control of HM group after the killing Riyaz Naikoo in a neat operation in May this year.
Dilbag Singh said that Saifullah was responsible for the killing of three BJP workers two days back. He said that Saifullah was traced and eliminated. “ It is a clear message to all the terrorists that a severe retribution awaits all of them for their acts of heinous crime,” he said.
He added that this operation was based on specific intelligence generated by police in coordination with other forces working round the clock against terrorists.
DGP had said yesterday that the killers of the BJP workers have been identified. Today, the linchpin of the terror attack in Kulgam Saifullah has been eliminated.
