Impresses upon police personnel to work with more dedication

Director General of Police J&K Dilbag Singh has thanked Hon’ble Home Minister, Amit Shah,Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha, R R Bhatnagar Advisor to Hon’ble Lt Governor,
Union Home Secretary A K Bhalla,Chief Secretary Dr A.K.Mehta,Principal Secretary Shaleen Kabra and other officers for sanctioning the Special Security Allowance (SSA) in favour of members of Special Operation Group (SOG) and Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) of Jammu and Kashmir Police.

The DGP said that the decision of providing the special allowance will go a long way in boosting the morale of police personnel.
By the said order the long pending demand of the J&K Police has been met,he added.
He further stated that the Union Home Ministry and Governor’s Administration has been very kind in considering favourably different proposals for the welfare and better working conditions of J&K Police.

Vide an order of J&K Home department today, sanction was accorded to the grant of special security allowance in favour of members of SOG and BDS of J&K Police.

The order reads that all those combatants (Operational staff) of J&K Police will receive 25% of their Basic Pay as special allowance. Similarly Non-combatants (Non-operational staff) of J&K Police will receive 12.5% of their Basic Pay.

The DGP said that it has come like a Diwali gift for the police force who have been performing extremely high risk jobs.

DGP while extending his thanks to the government, impressed upon the police personnel to work with more dedication to ensure maintenance of peace and order in the UT and to provide better service to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
