Jammu:31 Mar 2023: The Directorate General of Resettlement (DGR) organized a Job Fair/ Employment seminar for retired Defence Personnel in Jammu.
The Event was organized to provide multiple opportunities, as a second career option, to skilled, experienced and disciplined Defence Veterans. Around 1300 Defence Veterans of Army, Navy and Air Force attended and registered themselves for the employment seminar. Six Corporate Companies participated in the event and offered 239 vacancies out of which 117 veterans were shortlisted. These veterans will be employed in various appointments like Parakram Manager, Senior Supervisors to Strategic Planners and Project Directors.
The event was beneficial for both, corporate and veterans. While the veterans got a platform to showcase their technical and administrative prowess acquired during their years in service, the corporate were benefitted by hiring the veterans from a vast pool of experienced, disciplined and trained individuals.
