Jammu and Kashmir Police Department continued its efforts to reach out the needy and poor families living below poverty line especially residing in far flung areas of valley who were effected badly due to pandemic Covid-19. In this regard, District Police Ganderbal also added helpful gesture, today Ganderbal Police distributed COVID-19 protection kits under civic action programme of J&k Police among poor and needy families residing in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kangan, families who cannot effort to purchase such protection/ Safety kits. Each kit consists of masks, Sanitizers, Oximeter, Inhalers, Thermometer, Soaps, Shields and other essential items for virus protection. A medical team also participated the distribution function, to perform a detailed demo about how to use these items provided in the kit.
The distribution function was held at Guest House, Kangan and protection kits were distributed by SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS and SDPO kangan DySP Shri Yasir Qadri-JKPS was also present on the occasion. The function was hosted by SHO PS Kangan INSP Aftab Ahmad.
On the occasion, SSP Ganderbal said, “Ganderbal Police early took initiative on the out break of universal pandemic Covid-19 to reach out the poor and needy families especially residing in the far flung areas of this district who were badly effected during Covid-19 lockdown period. In this connection, today’s distribution programme of Covid-19 safety kits is to provide such items among these families as a mark of helpful gesture”.
People in general have appreciated the role of Ganderbal Police while tackling pandemic COVID-19 from initial stage till now.
