DC ,SSP inaugurate Youthon 2023 : Interactions, Job fair, Music, Fun, Food, Idea pitching challenge – Mark the day; Thousands of Youth converge at Doda Stadium to participate despite heavy rains.

Doda, March 18: Youth engagement and channelizing their efforts in positive, encouraging and gainful activities for their prosperous, bright and well groomed future is top most priority of the UT administration under the leadership of Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. Furthering the efforts to brace the youth with new ideas opportunities and energy and to revitalise the Youth Clubs established in all the 237 panchayats of the district, a lively Youth Festival (Doda Youthon 2023) was held today at Sports Stadium Doda. Thousands of youth from across the district converged at Sports Stadium Doda. The Doda Youthon 2023 was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Doda Vishesh Mahajan along with SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom and others.
Besides, Fun, Food and Music an interaction of successful entrepreneurs, business men, motivational speakers and counsellors was held and highly appreciated by the youth. They shared their success stories and ideas behind their success. Some of the speakers from outside UT of J&K who are graduates from IIT and have successful startups running reached here to motivate and enlighten the youth, while some interacted through virtual mode.
Idea pitching Challenge – an initiative under ADBHUT Doda gained a grand success. 23 innovative ideas were received online from the youth from all the pockets of the district. The ideas were explained by the creative youth and discussed with the team of successful people and officials of Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) to transform the ideas into gainful activities, contributing to the society and the nation. The best ideas declared by a jury of three judges were awarded by the administration here.
A local online service provider company, ‘Doda Hub’ was launched at the Youthon 2023 platform today. The Doda Hub is an indigenously designed and developed website platform with the support of NIC , where ITI trained technicians/ plumbers/ electricians and other trade experts shall be available for their paid services 24×7, initially for Doda Town.
Job fair was held in which more than 316 numbers of youth were provided on the spot Jobs by various non-governmental agencies, for which agencies pertaining to Education, Insurance, Banking, Industries and others had set their stall in the fair. Sanction and disbursment letters under PMEGP and other schemes were distributed among selected budding entrepreneurs.
On the spot registration forms for various self-employment subsidy based schemes were received from the desirous youth to establish their own self employment Enterprises and business units.
The sports competitions scheduled today were defered due to rain and wet ground.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Doda, said that the youth is our hope and administration is committed to create better opportunities for them and empower them for a better future and for the development of the nation. New ideas from the youth are appreciated. shall be further improved and put to the use to create livelihood opportunities and facilities for our citizens and the society. Targetted efforts together with technology, innovation, and expert guidance can bring our youth at par with youth of the most developed nations and they can even perform better .
During the festival, 5 fruit bearing trees were planted in every panchayat of the district through Horticulture department Doda.
The whole event/ programme was conceptualised by ADDC Doda Pran Singh, along with ADC Doda Dr R K Bharti, GM DIC/ Deputy Director Employment Doda Idrees Lone (Nodal Officer), ACR Doda Sanjeev Kumar, ACD Doda Phulail Singh and others .
