Jammu, September 21:
An Early Intervention Centre was inaugurated at 166 Military Hospital, Jammu on 20 Sep 2022 by Zonal President, WKAWWA Mrs Barinderjit Kaur. This Early Intervention Centre is the first centre of its kind in Jammu & Kashmir, dedicated to the needs of the families serving personnel & ESM requiring specialised care for specially abled children.
The centre will be instrumental in providing services to specially abled children with developmental problems where the identification and treatment can be started early.
Facilities in the centre will include – Psychotherapy, Speech therapy, Occupational therapy, special education for parents and children and physiotherapy. This centre will help a great deal in providing support to infants and young children at risk of or with disabilities.
