Jammu, May 27: Today on 27 5 2025, a special program was organized in Jammu Division of Northern Railway. The main objective of this program is to honor the employees of Operating and Commercial Department of Jammu Division by giving them a certificate who provided their excellent service during India-Pakistan tension and Operation Sindoor. All the trains were operated by the Operating Department as per their scheduled time and the Commercial Department helped the passengers to reach their destination station by giving them reservation, during this time the employees of both the departments took special care of the safety and facilities of the passengers and helped the passengers coming from outside to reach their destination station conveniently. During this time many reserved special trains were also operated in Jammu Division. During Operation Sindoor, the Railway Ministry had issued a special advisory for all the employees of the Railway Department, which was strictly followed by all the railway employees and along with respecting the Indian Army soldiers, special attention was also paid to their facilities such as priority in reservation, arrangement for Indian Army soldiers to stay at the station and arrangement of seats for Indian Army soldiers during travel in trains etc.
About 209 employees of the Commercial and Operating Department of the Division were honored by Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Shri Uchit Singhal by giving them certificates and Uchit Singhal said that the employees of both the departments of Jammu Division have performed their duty as well as passenger service duty fully.
