The Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) is the national representative body of Indian Adventure Tour Operators. It was founded in 1994 by a group of Travel Trade Adventurers, who envisioned ATOAI to be a strong support group that led to both group and individual profits by establishing adventure as one of the main tourism attractions to India.

The recently concluded convention titled ‘Indian Adventure Travel: Exploring New Frontiers’, was held at Praveg Tent City, Narmada, near the Statue of Unity in collaboration with Gujarat Tourism. The overarching mission of the convention that was attended by government dignitaries, influential travel conglomerates and visionary leaders of the travel and tourism industry from across India, was to establish India as the epicentre of global adventure tourism. Each year, the convention also aims to bridge the gap between operators at the grassroots level and adventure tourism firms, fortifying their collective strength.
