Excise Department destroyed 550 Kgs Lahan during different raids carried out to arrest the menace of illicit distillation and sale of illicit liquor in Excise Range Kathua.
On the directions of the Worthy Excise Commissioner, Rahul Sharma ,KAS and supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Kusum Sharma ,KAS a team of Excise Eradication/Enforcement Wing led by ETO, Eradication Narinder Singh Anthal, comprising of Sub-Inspectors Mohd. Salim, Naveen sharma and Karamat Ali, Excise Guard Shahbaz Khan and Karnail Singh raided the changi, upper Sakate chak,Khanpur and it’s adjoining areas of Kathua district to arrest the menace of illicit distillation of liquor.
In the process 550 Kgs of Lahan, raw material of illicit liquor, which is highly hazardous and injurious to health was recovered by the raiding team from state land & later destroyed on spot.
