In a move that formalised the basic structure of the October 14 People’s Alliance For Gupkar Declaration, former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah was chosen as its president.
Mehbooba Mufti who heads PDP will be the Vice President , while Sajad Lone will be spokesman of the Alliance.
This decision was taken at a meeting of the Alliance to give a proper structure to the group of parties that issued the Declaration on August 22.
Gupkar Declaration seeks restoration of the special status and statehood of J&K that was scrapped on August 5 last year.
The Alliance will hold its next meeting in Jammu.
