Jammu, June 15:
Suspected militants kidnapped a lady sarpanch in Sopore area in north Kashmir .
Militants subjected her to interrogation about the calls she had made to different officials.
Identified by her first name Zahida I in the video that had gone viral, the lady sarpanch wearing pink dress and matching duppatta pleaded innocence and agrees to resign .
This incident has come to light within days of the cold- blooded murder of the killing of a Kashmiri Pandit Sarpanch Ajay Pandita in his orchard in Larkipora village in Anantnag district.
The Panchayat Conference has demanded adequate security for panches and sarpanches across the UT of J&K.
