Jammu, December 30 Governor N N Vohra has asked Chief Secretary B B Vyas to get the fire safety audit done of all the major buildings, particularly hotels, shopping malls and hospitals across the state .
A spokesman of Raj Bhavan said here on Saturday that these instructions have been issued against the backdrop of fire incident in Mumbai in which 14 lives were lost and huge property damaged.
The Chief Secretary, according to the spokesman ,said : has been asked to issue immediate instructions to all Deuty Commissioners in the state to have an immediate fire safety audit conducted , particularly in regard to hospitals , shopping centres, malls etc and send notices to all premises which have the risk of catching fire , falling down etc.
