Department of Forest has fenced over seven hundred Kanal land recently retrieved from the encroachers here at village Raika.

According to DFO Jammu, fencing has been completed and approximately 700 Kanal forest land, worth in Crores, falling in Compartment No.66/Raika of Raika Beat of Bahu Forest Block, falling in village Raika, was saved from further encroachment. Forest field staff has been directed to ensure strict vigil in the area to prevent any further encroachment, he added.

Pertinently, the encroached forest land in village Raika   was evicted from the encroachers by a team of Forest department led by Range Officer Bahu Mohammad Nayeem alongwith Block Officer Bahu Anwar Mohammad, I/c Block Officer Bajalta Rakesh Dubey, I/c Block Officer Chowadi Diwakar Singh with the assistance of Police team headed by SDPO East Rajinder Singh Rahi and SHO Bagh-e-Bahu Sunil Sharma. The whole operation was supervised by DFO Jammu Alok Kumar Maurya.
