Jammu, February 20 : Former Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir B V R Subramanian has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer ( CEO) of NITI Ayog for two years .
This announcement was made on Monday . His appointment was made by the Appointment Committee of Cabinet .
Subrahmanyam replaces Parameshwaran Iyer, who has been appointed as Executive Director of World Bank for a period of two years. Iyer was appointed as the CEO of the government’s think tank in June. Iyer replaces Rajesh Kullar, who will return to his parent cadre Haryana.
Subramanian had an eventful tenure as chief secretary in Jammu and Kashmir before he moved to the Centre in July 2021 as Commerce Secretary . It as during his tenure as CS of J&K that Article 370 was abrogated in Jammu and Kashmir .
