Former MLC and members of Association of Unaided CBSE Schools called on Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha here today at Raj Bhavan and sought his intervention for early redressal of their concerning issues.
Sh. Ramesh Arora, former MLC met the Lt Governor and projected issues and demands including heritage status for Vikram Chowk and Railway Station RS Pura; issue of PoJK Refugees online registration and other issues of public importance.
Members of Association of Unaided CBSE Schools and Forum of Unaided Recognized Institutions comprising Sh. Rahul Bansal, Sh. Arvind Mahajan, Sh. Nandan Kuthiala, Sh. Harpreet Singh and Sh. Adit Gupta submitted a memorandum to Lt Governor pertaining to Admission fee; Transport and Annual Charges and other such issues in context of the prevailing Covid pandemic.
Prof. Raj Kachroo, Founder, Aman Movement also called on the Lt Governor and put forth his concerning issues.
The Lt Governor gave a patient hearing to the issues and grievances projected by delegations and assured them of addressing their genuine issues at the earliest.
He observed that the J&K Government is working on the principles of people centric governance and dedicated focus is being laid on proper assessment of public issues and their prompt redressal.
Meanwhile, Sh. LD Jha, Chairman, Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) briefed the Lt Governor about the functioning and future action plan of the Commission.
The Lt Governor stressed on taking all the requisite measures to maintain transparency and accountability in the working of the Commission.
