Srinagar, August 17: Four Kashmiri students studying in the Law department at AMITY University, have been held by Nodia Police – PS AMITY University since yesterday. They were roughed up by the locals after coming out from local hotel. The Kashmiri students filed a complaint leading to their detention.

Rather than questioning and apprehending the accused responsible for the harassment, the police have taken into custody the four boys who were subjected to physical aggression. The families of the students are making an appeal for their prompt release.

J&K Students Association requested the Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, Noida MP Dr Mahesh Sharma, to intervene in order to secure the release of the detained students and ensure their safety.
