Ghulam Nabi Hanjura , General Secretary of PDP has resigned from his party post as also member of the high- powered Political Affairs Committee due to what he stated , “ personal reasons’
In a brief communication to party chief Mehbooba Mufti, the long time leader of the party , said that he will however continue to be member of the party.
His resignation is a big jolt to the party.
Hanjura is from Budgam district and he had defeated National Conference’s stalwart Abdul Rahim Rather from Charar-e -Sharif Assembly constituency in 2014 polls.
Respected Madam.
I do hereby resign from the post of general secretary of the party and as member of the political affairs committee today because of my personal engagements. However i will continue to work as basic member of the party.
