Today, Rajan Kumar, Head of the Regional Office of NHPC, Jammu, visited Salal Power Station. Welcoming him the head of Salal Power Station N. Ram described his visit as very important for the power station.
On this occasion, Rajan Kumar also inaugurated the newly developed “Herbal Park” in the residential complex of the power station and in the said park he and his wife R. Shekhri planted the plant of “Rudraksh”. He described trees and plants as “life givers” for all animals. The head of Salal Power Station N. Ram and his wife Pushpalata and other senior officials also planted herbal plants of “lemongrass, rudraksh, arjuna”.
Subsequently, the Head of regional office Jammu, also visited the dam and power house premises and took stock of the ongoing “maintenance work”. On this occasion, the Head of power station informed about the targets to be achieved by Salal Power Station this year and said that in the month of July, the power station produced a total of 532.72 million units of record power. In addition, last year, the Corporation has also won the “Best Power Station”, Rajbhasha Shield’s first and 3 times Best PR Performer Award.
Head of Regional Office, Jammu, praised General Manager (In-Charge) N.Ram and his team and congratulated him for successful operation of Salal Power station, especially in this “COVID-19” period .
