Jammu, August 06: In more than a day old encounter in thick Rajouri forests, army brought in special forces , by choppers to trace and neutralise militants, one militant has been killed so far.
According to army spokesman in Jammu , the encounter started following intelligence inputs about the presence of the militants in the area on Saturday.

Based on accurate intelligence joint operation of Rashtriya Rifles of Indian Army and JKP launched on 5 aug.

After initial contact, Indian Army troops moved to the area and pinned down terrorists assessed to be upto 2-3.

Additional troops of Rashtriya Rifles mobilised as terrain is undulating and forrested.

Special Forces brought in by Indian Air Force helicopter

Repeated attempts by terrorists to break cordon thwarted by controlled fire throughout the night.

Night enabled Quadcopters, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Sniffer Dogs also used.

Firefight still on Rashtriya Rifles troops of Indian Army and Special forces have closed on to other terrorists
