Jammu, May 14: Reflecting on highest voting percentage in Srinagar parliamentary constituency in decades , Union Home Minister Amit Shau said this has been made possible because of the abrogation of Article 370.

On Monday, Srinagar parliamentary constituency recorded 38 percent turnout of voters which as compared to previous elections is highest.
In a post on X on Tuesday, the Home Minister said ,” The Modi government’s decision to abrogate Article 370 is showing results in the poll percentage as well. It has enhanced people’s trust in democracy, and its roots have deepened in J&K.”
“ Through the surge in the poll percentage, the people of J&K have given a befitting reply to those who opposed the abrogation and are still advocating its restoration,” he said.
