Likely to discuss poll preparedness with J&K BJP’s core group

Jammu , January 09. All the top leaders of BJP in Jammu and Kashmir reached Delhi on Monday evening to attend a critically important meeting called by Union Home Minister Amit Shah late this evening.
Home Minister , as per sources, shall be meeting all the core group of the UT ‘s BJP unit led by party president Ravinder Raina. The meeting is expected to start at 9 p m.
The sources said that the real focus will be on three issues – one, how much BJP is prepared in J&K to face the elections and what are its strategies to win the polls. The top party leadership of the party is not happy with party ‘s failure to build a strong narrative about the developments and positive changes have taken place in J&K. The leadership wants J&K leaders to work at grassroots level and build a strong and election – winning narrative before the announcement of elections, which in all probability, is likely to be made in February- March.
Second is the issue of counterterrorism in J&K. In this , January 1 killing of seven persons in Dangri village will figure prominently. The J&K b leaders’ feedback would be sought for strengthening Village Defence Commitees in border and hilly districts of J&K.
Third issue, the sources said, could be to highlight importance and work for the G20 meeting in Srinagar.
Among others who will be attending the meeting are General Secretary ( Organisation) Ashok Kaul, three General Secretaries – Sunil Sharma, Vinodh Gupta and Manyal.
MoS PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh , MP Jugal Kishore Sharma , senior party leader Devender Singh Rana and chief spokesperson Sunil Sethi will be attending the meeting .
Party’s J&K incharge Tarun Chugh will also be a prominent face in the meeting.
