Union Home Minister Amit Shah has expressed serious concern over the cloudburst in the mountainous region of Kishtwar in Jammu and Kashmir and has spoken to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and DGP Dilbag Singh to know about the latest situation and the rescue operations .
A cloud burst in the upper reaches of Kishtwar in which at least four people have died and 35 others are missing.


There has been a large scale devastation in the area and the rescue operations have been launched . At least 10 persons have been rescued.
Amit Shah said in a tweet that he has spoken to LG and DGP of J&K about the situation arising out of the cloudburst.


He said that the National Disaster Team is also reaching there to assist in the rescue operations .
Meanwhile , Prime Minister Narendra Modi has tweeted that the “ Central Government is closely monitoring the situation in the wake of the cloudbursts in Kishtwar and Kargil . All possible assistance is being made available in the affected areas . He has also prayed for everyone’s safety and well-being
