11th July 2022 Monday: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu will be holding a holistic 5-day Orientation Program for the 3rd Batch of Ph.D. (2022-25), 7th Batch of MBA (2022-24), 2nd Batch of EMBA (2022-24), and for the 1st Batch of MBA (HA&HM) (2022-24) from 12th July to 16th July 2022. The Orientation Program will be held in offline mode with all necessary precautions against COVID-19, ensuring the safety of everyone. The idea associated with this Orientation Program is to acquaint the incoming students with the culture, academic opportunities, ethos, and general rules of IIM Jammu. The programme will help in facilitating a welcoming environment for the new aspiring students and their families to meet and have open communication with the faculty, staff, senior students, and all key activity headsof the Institute under one roof. During the Orientation Program, each day will commence at 6:00 AM with ‘Maximize Happiness and Mindfulness’ sessions conducted by TBF, Yoga, and Meditation Trainer. It is imperative to build strength, awareness as well as harmony in both mind and body. The orientation program will also feature campus visits of the students to IIM Jammu’s state-of-the-art campus coming up at Jagti along with cultural programs by students of IIM Jammu.
The programme will be formally inaugurated on 12th July 2022. Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, will deliver the welcome address. Dr. Milind Kamble, Chairman, BoG, IIM Jammu, will preside over the function and deliver the presidential address. The event will be graced by the presence of Chief Guest Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary, Government of J&K and Guest of Dilbagh Singh, DGP, Government of J&K. Prof. Manoj Singh Gaur, Director, IIT Jammu, and Prof. (Dr.) Shakti Gupta, Director, AIIMS Jammu, will also deliver their address. Top bureaucrats, industry speakers, and corporate leaders, are also invited to address the new batch and motivate them for their academic journey at IIM Jammu, including Baldev Prakash, MD and CEO J&K Bank; Ashish Bhalla, Head – Campus Relations, HCL Technologies; Manoj K Prasad, Vice President-Talent Development & Digital Transformation, Reliance Industries Limited; Vivek Bhardwaj, Additional Chief Secretary, Govt of J&K; Rohit Kansal, Principal Secretary, Govt of J&K; Shri. Prahalad Kakkar, Ad. Guru and Renowned Indian Ad. Film Director; Sushil Tripathi, HR-Head (Garment Division), Siyaram Silk Mills Ltd.; Shri Sunil David, Regional IOT Director, AT&T and TagBox; Shri Kishore Indukuri, Founder & CEO, Sids Farm Private Limited; Somya Sahu, Associate Director, GEP Worldwide; Anshula Verma, Director & National Head – HR, EY; Debashish Ghosh, Country Head, Berkadia; Amitesh Sinha, CFO & Partner, SIMA Funds; Natwar Kadel, Head-Center of Expertise and People Strategy, Hyundai Motors India Limited.The orientation programme will also be featuring various interesting sessions by the faculty of IIM Jammu.
