Jammu, June 27: India Khelo Football: India’s Biggest Grassroots Football Trials comes to Jammu
India Khelo Football in association with Pegasus Sports Academy conducted IKF Trials in Jammu on 24th June 2023. Near about 100+ players actively participated in the trial in Under 15 and Under 17 category. Players from various parts of Jammu & Kashmir participated in the trial and the energy of excited youth filled up the valley.
India Khelo Football is a people-led movement in which football players and football enthusiasts from all over India have come together and formed India Khelo Football to develop football at the grass-root level. India Khelo Football (IKF) is a non-profit platform to provides kids from across India with a fair chance to pursue their dream of playing football internationally. IKF has a tagline which says ‘Aap Khelo, Mauka Ham Denge’, it conveys the message that, ‘You give your best, we will give you the opportunity’. Hence, they are on a mission of creating a global platform for players to excel and live their dream of becoming a professional football player. IKF wants to make a concrete pathway that will be supported by the parents as well; so that their talent achieves the heights that he/she deserves.
India Khelo Football also known as IKF provides a platform for the players who wish to build their career as professional footballers. IKF scouts identify talented players first at city level and the players who get selected in Jammu will attend the Zonals and top talent will be selected for Nationals where International, ISL, I League Clubs will be present. A few extremely talented players will be selected for international exposure program as well which will be sponsored by IKF entirely.
India Khelo Football Partnered with Pegasus Sports Academy to organize these trials in valley. The initiative was promoted by the Batra Group as well, in a thorough manner so that all the players who wish to pursue football professionally gets a fair platform. The trial started in the evening at 4.30pm. The 11 a side trial took place in Parade Ground. IKF Scout Mr. Nelson were able to find extremely talented players from the trial. The results for the trial will be announced within 10 days post digital analysis. Players and parents were really excited as such trial is happening for the first time in Jammu. “It’s a great initiative by IKF for the development of grassroot football and to hunt the talented players at city level.”, says one of the parents. “Me and my team enjoyed playing India Khelo Football trial and I feel that it’s a great opportunity for anyone who wants to become professional footballer.” Says Bhisham Batra
