One soldier was killed in sniper fire by Pakistan in Machil sector in north-western Kashmir district of Kupwara on Wednesday re-establishing the fact that Pakistan is in an aggressive mood on the Line of Control to provoke India for major escalation on the dividing line.
Meanwhile two militants have been killed in Rafiababad encounter. The searches are on in the area.
Reports said that Pakistani troops targeted Indian posts in which one soldier was killed, while the encounter left two militants killed in a gun fight in Rafiabad area.
