Jammu  region employees working in civil secretariat and other Durbar move offices have urged Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to order Durbar move as is where is basis in view of the second wave of Covid- 19 that has hit hard the whole of Union Territory.

In a signed memorandum addressed to the LG , employees of Jammu have said that since the pandemic of Covid-19 has spread further in 2021, it would be in fitness of things to have Durbar move offices in both the places. It said that the employees of Jammu should be allowed to work from Jammu and that of Kashmir from Srinagar.

Listing their apprehensions, the Jammu employees said that they have to stay in hotels and share rooms. That, they said could cause problems for them and add to anxieties of their families.

They also pointed out that since e- work has been given green signal, the as is where is basis makes sense for the Durbar move.
