Red Cross Club, Govt. P.G. College for Women, Gandhinagar, Jammu organized a webinar on Awareness Programme-“Indian Red Cross Society” at Google meet platform on 19th January 2021.The whole programme was conducted under the guidance and supervision of Prof. Sangita Nagari, Principal GCW Gandhinagar.

She encouraged students to work together to find solutions and promote humanitarian values in the society. She laid emphasis on minimizing suffering and creating congenial climate for the human race.  Dr. Davinder Kour, convener Red cross club, Dr. Revika  Arora (co-convener), Dr. Ashok Kumar (member), Asst. Prof. Eisha Gohil (member) were the organizers of the event. The expert talk was delivered by Dinesh Gupta former AGM, RBI/former secretary of Indian Red Cross Society. He emphasized on the importance and services of Red Cross society and underlined its role in pioneering medical awareness and providing various medical aids to the general public. He motivated the students and teachers to be a part of this worthy organization and work for the welfare of the society.

More than 100 students and various faculty members attended the event on the virtual platform. Dr Revika Arora conducted the proceedings of the webinar and Dr Davinder Kour presented formal vote of thanks. The event was conducted with the technical support Er. Harmeet Singh and his team in EDUSAT.
