Jammu, March 28: O P Sharma, Director Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu, & a well known artist of Jammu & Kashmir, was felicitated during the inaugural ceremony of 4th All India Contemporary Art Exhibition opened at Anand Art Gallery, Shivalik Nagar, Haridwar (Uttrakhand). The exhibition was inaugurated by Padamshree (Dr.) Yashodhar Mathpal, the pinnacle of Indian painting, & the founder of the Folk Culture Museum in Bhimtal, Nainital. Sh. Shama was the guest of honour on this occasion in the programme, and as a Jury member for the selection of art objects and awards for the exhibition.
50 Art works out of work submitted by 110 painters has been displayed in the exhibition. 15 Award winning artists were also honoured on this occasion. The award winning artists included the painters: Amarpreet Kaur (Greater Mohali), Amit Kumar (Chandigarh), Anshu Mohan (Dehradun), Atri Chetan (Bengaluru), Bharti Parmar (Mathura), D C Aggarwal (Saharanpur), Jaishankar Mishra (Chitrakoot), Kamaljeet (Kurukshetra), Om Prakash Mishra (Dehradun), Prakash Chand Upadhyay (Haldwani), Praveen Saini (Muzaffarnagar), Rashmita Kacholia (Chandigarh), Shakun Singh (Roorkee), Somnath (Haridwar) and Prof. Sunil Saxena (Lucknow). Along with this, Kalpana Kushwaha, Dr. Mausam Zepherin, Pooja Panwar, Ravi Tiwari, Sanjay Jaiswal, Somnath and Chetna Path editor Arun Kumar Pathak from Haridwar were honoured for their services extended for art. The artists and others were honoured through Dr. Ashok Kumar Gupta, Organizer and Secretary, Anand Art Mission, Haridwar and veteran painter Dr. Yashodhar Mathpal.
It may be mentioned here that Prof. Sunil Saxena (Lucknow), Dr. Mamta Verma (Prayagraj) and Amarpreet Kaue, the participants in the exhibition, are the members of Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu.
The art exhibition will be open for visitors till 5th April, 2023.
