Inspects RDD developmental works, Distributes certificates, agro machinery, KCC sanction letters and sports kits

Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Baseer Ahmad Khan today visited kulgam and listened issues grievances & demands of the people under ongoing jan abhiyaan programme.

On the occasion scores of delegation met the advisor which includes Fruit growers association kulgam , Transport association, religious heads association, Traders association, kulgam working Journalist association and public delegations from, D.H.Pora,Qaimoo,Kund,Devsar, awqaaf Committee,kund-kulgam, public delegation from Frisal, Yaripora and other several areas apprised the Advisor about various issues and grievances and put forth their demands.

The advisor after listening the grievances, issues and demands of these delegations passed on-spot directions for redressal of various issues which were brought into his notice.

Earlier the advisor inspected several work projects which are under execution of Rural Development Department (RDD) in the district. He visited flood protection bund work site zungalpora.

He was accompanied by DDC kulgam,Showkat Aijaz Bhat who informed the advisor about the areas which will get protected by zungalpora flood protection bund.

He also announced Rs, 50 lac for zungalpora flood protection bund to complete the work project within stipulated time, to protect the area from floods.

The advisor also distributed Domicile, EWS and other certificates besides agro machinery, KCC sanction letters, sports kits prosthetic aids and compensation cheques worth 14.35 lacs among the dependents of deceased constructional workers in death cases in a distribution camp which was organized under Jan Abhiyan programme here at mini- secretariat kulgam.

Later the advisor meets BDC’s, Sarpanchs and Panchs who apprised him about various issues and put forth several demands.

BDC’s and PRI members also demanded panchayat complex in the district and the Advisor asked the DDC to identify land for Panchayat Complex.
