District Development Commissioner (DDC), Nazim Zai Khan today visited Sub Division Gool and presided over a mega public outreach programme under Jan Abhiyan where the people of the surrounding blocks highlighted their problems and developmental issues.
BDC, Chairperson Gool, Shakeela Begum; BDC Chairman Gundi Dharam, Javed Ahmed Manhas; ACD, Zameer Ahmed Rishu; SDM, Gool, Gias-Ul-Haq; CMO, Dr. Mohammad Fareed; Tehsildar Gool, XENs PWD, ALC and several district and sectoral officer besides PRIs and general public attended the outreach programme.
During the public hearing, the DDC resolved many issues on the spot and the rest were forwarded to the concerned departments for its redressal through an established tracking system.
The DDC also distributed the Coffee table book, Domicile certificates, Income certificates and caste certificates among the eligible applicants. He also presented sports kits to local youth to promote sports activities in rural areas.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC emphasized that the aim of the conducting Jan Abhiyan is to improve service delivery and redressal of public grievances, during Awami Sunwai Muhim. He directed the ACD to organize capacity building programmes for PRIs enable them to deal with day to day official business. He also directed ACD to establish a helpline number to facilitate PRIs to deal with their official works.
Responding to the portable water supply issues raised by the PRIs, the DDC assured that all the areas would be covered under the Jal Jiwan Mission scheme. He directed the concerned officers to explore the possibilities to open Aadhar Centres in far flung blocks. He also asked the PRIs to work in coordination with Government departments to develop their areas.
