Jammu: In a major landslide, one person has been killed and six others were injured in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district on Tuesday.
As per official reports the landslide triggered in the Seri area of Ramban district this afternoon in which one person (JCB Driver) got killed while six others got seriously injured after massive land and mudslides. The traffic movement also got halted from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
The deceased has been identified as Surjeet Singh S/o Sher Singh R/o Sumber. Those injured in this incident were identified as Mohd Taj S/O Mohd Ishaq R/o Kalakote Rajouri, Hamid S/o Suba R/o Munglu Rajouri, Rubeena Begum W/o Mohd Shafiq R/o Munglu Rajouri, Sakeena begum w/o Reyaz Ahmed r/o munglu Rajouri, Salma banii D/o Reyaz Ahmed r/o Munglu Rajouri and Aamir s/o mohd shafeeq r/o munglu Rajouri.
“Huge slide at Seri. Rescue operation underway. 7 injured so far. More might be trapped. Injured being shifted to District Hospital. NH closed for traffic. Even further slide and heavy shooting stones coming down at Seri.” SSP, Ramban Mohita Sharma twitted.
