Jammu, December 31: In its executive meet on the eve of New Year , the J&K unit of BJP resolved that no talks should be held with Pakistan, it was a rebuff to Kashmir- centric parties which are calling for Indo- Pak talks to resolve Kashmir issue .
The party , in its resolution said ,”there should be
no talks with Pakistan or the agents of Pakistan including the persons or
organizations which are preponders or supporters of separatism in Jammu
and Kashmir. Terror and talks cannot go together.
Jammu & Kashmir BJP further resolves that the party will strive for absolute
majority in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory legislative assembly and
that there will be a Chief Minister from Bharatiya Janata Party in J&K.
It is also resolved that the Government of Bharatiya Janata party in J&K will
work to instill the feeling of confidence and peace in the masses and to
promote nationalistic spirit to fight with the terrorism and preponders of
terrorism and separatism.
Bharatiya Janata Party resolves that those responsible for the exodus of the
minorities from Kashmir in 1989-90 under tragic circumstances should be
identified and prosecuted.
Though normalcy is fast returning to J&K. Pakistan is still trying to
destabilize J&K by subversive activities and unleashing a reign of terror on
the soil of J&K. The recent spurt in terrorist activities in Rajouri and Poonch
district are reflection of the dubious design of the hostile neighbour. The
BJP J&K Unit resolves to stand by the Armed Forces in their relentless
brave effort to root out terrorism from Jammu & Kashmir and defeating the
nefarious designs of Pakistan.
It is further resolved that while the party will support all measures required
to curb terrorism in J&K it will reach out to the people and win the hearts .”
