Jammu, December 12:

BJP  is seeing to reinvent its winning strategy in  Jammu and Kashmir after a stunning defeat  in  three states of Hindi heartland on  Tuesday  and has called the top party leaders of the state to Delhi for a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party president Amit Shah  on Thursday .

The party’s national leadership  is looking for s strategy  beyond the repeat of the 25 out of 37 in  Jammu region  in the House of 87.

Sources said that Modi and Amit  Shah would have  a proper briefing from the party leaders of the State , including state unit president Ravinder Raina, former deputy chief minister  Kavinder Gupta and organizing secretary Ashok Koul among others , about the ground situation  in  the State  and the future strategy that can sell in the party’s interests in Jammu and Kashmir.

The meeting on Thursday assumes extraordinary significance  as the State is scheduled for the Assembly elections after  Governor Satya Pal Malik  dissolved the Assembly on November 21 . But the time schedule for the Assembly polls has not been notified , though there are speculations  that these might be held simultaneously with the Lok Sabha polls .

Or , it might  be held earlier or later than that . That possibility too exists. But nothing is clear .

It is assumed that the first hints of  the Assembly  polls ‘schedule may  come  after the meeting on Thursday .
