Jammu, January 25:

On the occasion of National Voters’ Day, pledge ceremonies were held in Police establishments across Jammu and Kashmir. The main function was organized in the lawns of Police Headquarters, here today.

ADGP Headquarters PHQ, M. K. Sinha administered Voters pledge to the Police officers, and personnel of Police Headquarters, Armed Police Headquarters and Police Telecom Hqrs.

The oath taking ceremony was attended by Director General of Police J&K Dilbag Singh, ADGP Armed J&K, SJM Gillani, IGP CIV Alok Kumar, AIsG of PHQ, SO to ADGP Armed, senior police officers and staff of PHQ, APHQ and Police Telecom.

The theme of this year’s National Voters Day celebration is “Making Elections Inclusive, Accessible and Participative”.

The officers/personnel took pledge to uphold the democratic tradition of our country and the dignity of free, fair and peaceful elections, and to vote in every election fearlessly and without being influenced by considerations of religion, race, caste, community, language or any inducement.

Meanwhile, the Voters pledge was celebrated at all district headquarters, units, and wing headquarters across Jammu and Kashmir in which Police officers and Jawans participated.K Police organises National Voters Day ceremonies across J&K
