Srinagar, April 20, 2025: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued a nowcast update at 1515 hrs, forecasting light to moderate rain with intense showers at some locations, accompanied by thunder, lightning, and gusty winds across Jammu and Kashmir for the next 4-6 hours.
Residents are advised to stay away from water channels, loose structures, and landslide-prone areas. Boating and shikara riding in Dal Lake and other water bodies should be avoided. The public is urged to remain indoors or seek safe shelters until conditions improve.
