Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, many states in India have recently released various ordinances & notifications containing exemptions from enforcement with some labour laws suitable for normal days.
Such expansion was sought to give companies & employees a certain level of flexibility to help curb the negative economic and industrial impacts in lockdowns. Likewise, Government of J&K has also taken various proactive steps with respect to labour laws which provide support to workers & employers.
In this initiative, organized by ASSOCHAM, Saurabh Bhagat, Secretary, Labour & Employment, Jammu & Kashmir has been invited to share his views and efforts taken by the Department of Labour & Employment, J&K for the welfare of employers & employees of UT and the way forward.
He will also be joined by Manik Batra, Chairman, ASSOCHAM J&K Council for this important interaction.
