Facilitation Centre is a place where visionary dreamers with a zeal to change ideas into reality are given the opportunity to change their ideas into world-changing businesses, said Prof Manoj K Dhar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu while inaugurating Udhampur Campus Community Facilitation Centre (UCCFC) and Financial Literacy Campaign. Prof Dhar contemplated that the facilitation centre is going to cater to various activities in the region with a view to help those who are planning to startup and also for those who are in the midway but are looking for various services for accelerating their business. Vice-Chancellor also underlined that the Udhampur campus has its own website that can be visited to get all the requisite information. Presently, the campus is running two postgraduate programs and the Vice-Chancellor said that the University is planning to introduce some new program i.e. integrated Law course, 4 years integrated course in education, various skill-based programs i.e. bakery and confectionery and solar and LED technology Electronics in order to increase the scope of the campus. He said that successful community development takes collaboration among stakeholders who are dedicated to work together to define and solve problems within the community and pursuing opportunities. While talking about Financial literacy Campaign, he said that a strong foundation of financial literacy can help support various life goals, such as saving for education or retirement, using debt responsibly, and running a business. He further said that financial literacy is the ability to understand and effectively use various financial skills, including personal financial management, budgeting, and investing.Through the medium of such programme University would like to serve the women, farmers, youth and the vulnerable group of the society to grow in their life, to uplift their standard of living and to make their life easy. Vice-Chancellor also thanked the Lieutenant Governor of J&K & Chancellor, University of Jammu for his continuous support and guidance.

Earlier, Professor Parikshat Singh Manhas, Rector Udhampur Campus in his address said that Udhampur Campus will continue to conduct such activities in the near future under UCCFS and UCCBS. He said that more Community Building Programs in the future will be initiated. Udhampur Campus has taken various initiatives on regular basis to start the various series in the Udhampur Campus via both online and offline mode. Today Udhampur Campus has added one more step through the inauguration of the Udhampur Campus Community Facilitation Centre with the aim to serve the common people and nation. Nisha Sharma BDC, Chairperson in her address said that financial literacy is essential because it empowers people to make informed decisions about the money.
Sanjeev Kumar Gupta (Branch Head, J&K Bank Tikri) said that financial literacy is understanding the topic of money. Financial literacy represents one area of financial wellness.
Romesh Singh Salathia, Principal Government Higher Secondary School Tikri said that lack of financial literacy is not the problem only in emerging or developing economies.
