BAR to continue the agitation on Rohangyas, Tribal issues

Bar Association of Jammu (BAJ) today said that its agitation is not against any community but it is completely issue based, but Kashmir’s Bar, Traders and political set up attempted to give it communal colours.

BAJ president, BS Slathia, while addressing a press conference here today said that the agitation of Bar will continue government is yet to decide anything on Rohangyas issue and controversial Tribal affairs minutes of meeting.

Slathia said that as the Crime Branch of J&K has already produced charge sheet of Asifa case in the court, now technically the Court has to decide whether it is satisfy with the investigation of CB or the case needs to be reinvestigate by CBI.

“Our demand of Asifa case’s investigation through CBI was not an attempt to save any accused, but we just want to make sure that the minor victim should get justice and it is only with the CBI’s impartial investigation,” Slathia elaborated, why Bar demanded CBI probe in rape and murder case of minor at Rassana village of Hiranagar in Kathua.

BAR also said that today only they are going to organise general house committee meeting and then on Sunday will be a meeting with civil society and then decide the further course of action.

The Bar members also cleared that they are also not against Tribal community as Tribals are also part of rich Dogra culture of Jammu and they are not encroachers, but there are outsiders who are creating controversies in it.
