Srinagar 09 December : A singing and music talent audition hunt competition for budding Kashmiri artists was organised by the Kashmir School of Art and Drama at Srinagar. The audition cum talent hunt was organized by the Indian Army in collaboration with Kashmir School of Art and Drama .
Chairman Kashmir School of Art and Drama Mr Nasir Ali Khan and his team held auditions of local singers and musicians of various districts of Kashmir valley in chatabal area of Srinagar. Known Singer Mr Aijaz Rah ,Abid Aly ,Adil Gurezi, Mohd Ashraf khan were the Judges of the event and Prominent Social Worker Syed Aijaz Kashani was invited as the special guest in the audition program.
According to the chairman Kashmir School of Art and Drama Mr Nasir Ali Khan said, the prime objective of the event was to hone the skills of the selected artists and provide them with a platform to perform in concerts. Some of these concerts are planned for the later part of the next year this will help in increase the reach of our artists and their music.
Speaking in the event, Singer Aabid Aly and Popular singer Adil Gurezi said that we are overwhelmed to see the talent of Kashmiri budding singers and musicians and hope they will perform in Bollywood in the coming years.
While speaking on the occasion Prominent Social Worker Syed Aijaz Kashani said kashmiri Youths are highly talented they must be given a chance and platform to perform in such events and our aim should be to promote the talents of our artists and facilitate them in getting platforms where they can showcase their talent. Valley’s known Singer Ajaz Rah said Our purpose is to collaborate with the local artists and promote their talent. I saw a great passion for music among the participants. They all aspire to achieve something. The participants lauded the initiative by the Indian Army to promote the talents of Kashmiri artists. Mr shoiab Ahmad wani, Amir peerzada, fastion designer Shahid Rashid bhat and other dignitaries also attended the prestigious event.
