Srinagar, July 13: Kashmiri Pandit community is afraid that its temples in the Valley may be encroached by land mafia.
In a statement Kashmiri Pandit Sangarsh Samiti president Sanjay Tickoo said “ More than three decades have passed, and temples and Asthapans of the Kashmiri Pandit Community in Kashmir remain vulnerable due to the mafia, which receives unequivocal support from a segment of the Majority Community, including top lawyers and civil administration officials. KPSS wishes to express gratitude to the Hon’ble High Court of J&K and Ladakh for issuing a landmark direction that can serve as a watershed moment in the process of restoring the encroached temple land that is being disposed of by people who are disguised to damage the religious sites of minorities in Kashmir Valley.

As the legal battle continues, KPSS is proud to have taken the legal initiative in 2007 and has been working with the same zeal and zest ever since to protect the religious places of minorities in Kashmir Valley, which are constantly being attacked by people with vested interests and working in the hands of people across the border to erase the history and existence of the Kashmir Valley’s aboriginal community.

KPSS has repeatedly argued that the temple land mafia is actually run by a “Radicalized” mindset that carries out an agenda of erasing Kashmiri Pandit identity from Kashmir, and that many people from the Majority Community facilitate this agenda, and that the entire show is run across the border by those who cannot tolerate the existence of minorities in the Kashmir Valley.

The Indian government should take this issue seriously, considering the same people are responsible for mass migrations and the killing of minorities in the Kashmir Valley. These people are also supported by senior lawyers from the Hon’ble High Court and numerous civil servants in the administration, and they are serving as puppets for the performance that is being staged across borders.

The Hon’ble High Court has issued numerous directives, but none of them have been implemented or carried out on ground zero, calling into question the integrity of these civil servants, who have acted as part of the “Radicalized” mindset that has infiltrated the majority society like a plague since the mass migration of Kashmiri Pandits from the valley. Some non-Kashmiri individuals who have dressed in saffron have also collaborated with the mafia for vested interests in order to harm the religious endowment properties of the Kashmir Valley, which have become orphaned due to the lack of a genuine managing committee as a result of the Kashmiri Pandit Community’s mass migration.

KPSS is taking liberty to humbly request the Hon’ble High Court of J&K and Ladakh, that a committee be formed under the authority and control of the Hon’ble High Court to check the implementation of the orders passed from time to time in its letter and spirit so that the religious heritage of the Kashmiri Pandits is protected and all endowment properties that have been taken away from the temples in any form since 01.01.1989 be restored back to the temples and Asthapan.
