Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will be holding first administrative council meeting to discuss and decide on the crucial matters concerning the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir , and it is expected that some new people-oriented schemes would be launched to give an extra pace to the developments with an objective to open new vistas of connect with the people .
Sinha who has been moving around across the union territory , visited some of the critically important districts to apprise himself of the ground situation both in Jammu region and Kashmir valley, the sources said , wants to devise an adequate people-friendly administrative response to address the grievances of the people.
Sources said that, during the meeting Sinha will also take stock of the situation of various departments , work done by them ever since the change that was brought for the good of the people on august 5, 2019, when the state of Jammu and Kashmir was “ freed of the shackles and barriers of Article 370 and article 35 A “. It was on August 5 last year when J&K was divided into two Union Territories of Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir.
Sinha who took over as the Lieutenant Governor on August 7 is a “ man on the move” as he wants to redress the public grievances at the earliest. This will be the dominant agenda on August 7 when he will chair the Administrative Council.
Currently , Sinha is in Delhi , meeting ministers of various departments , projecting the demands of J&K and seeking Centre’s assistance in speeding up the development progress in the UT. He had gone to Delhi and taken along with him senior officers to interact with various ministries.
