Jammu , January 22 : Against the backdrop of twin blasts in Narwal area of Jammu city on Saturday, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has convened a meeting of all Deputy Commissioners and SSPs of all 10 districts of the region to have a fresh assessment of the security situation.
The twin blasts on Saturday have rung alarm bells – the blasts took place in Jammu city , thus raising question about the security of the winter capital which is considered as a place free of terror. Secondly, the blasts occurred ahead of Republic Day and also that of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s “ Bharat Jodo Yatra..”
LG has taken strong note of these blasts and the narrative of insecurity that it has created in the region .
