Jammu, October 18:
“Awaam ki Awaaz” or the talk of the masses in Jammu and Kashmir is a radio programme of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha in which he highlights topical issues, appreciates suggestions forwarded by the people from across diverse fields with due recognition to them. This is his way of connecting with the masses , and it was but natural for him to dedicate this episode on Sunday to the martyred civilians . terrorists have gunned down civilians of all faiths in the recent days , though the killings of the non-locals have been spotlighted in greater measure .
The killings of civilians has become a centre of attention in Kashmir and the media outside of it . There are two parts to it, one, as Manoj Sinha , sent a firm and strong message to the terrorists that they will meet their nemesis . He opened his episode with the emotional words for the civilians and their near and dear ones and also with the strong semantics for the terrorists . In both ways, he was speaking for the people of Kashmir, who are as anguished and worried about the impact of the civilian killings as all those having human heart and the prosperity of Kashmir in their minds .
“ I pay my heart-felt tributes to the martyred civilians and condolences to the bereaved families . We’ll hunt down terrorists, their sympathisers and avenge each and every drop of innocent civilian’s blood,” Manoj Sinha said . The message was profound that the LG’s government is with the civilians and their families and voiced solidarity with them on behalf of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, particular that of the Valley that witnessed the gory killings which inflicted deadly blow to the ethos of Kashmir and also economic activity .
Manoj Sinha , ever since he came to Jammu and Kashmir as head of the Government in early August 2020, he has been focusing on the people-friendly attitude both in terms of his words and actions . The policies adopted by him in which peace , dialogue with the commoners , opening economic avenues and rebuilding the social contact were the major themes .He worked hard on building a connect with the people to ensure that they understand and feel what’s good for them.
He rightly analysed as to why the killings were taking place and what the perpetrators from across the border and the men working for the neighbouring country were seeking to achieve. “ Attempts are being made to disrupt peace and socio-economic progress of J&K and individual growth of people ,” and reiterated that these killings would not dilute the commitment to develop Jammu and Kashmir and make it a haven for peace . “ We remain committed to fast-paced development and will endeavour to build a prosperous and peaceful UT of J&K .” That summed up the whole goal that he is pursuing and that is going to the best answer to the hostile forces.
