SAMBA, JULY 22:
In view of the latest spur in covid 19 cases, District Magistrate, Samba, Rohit Khajuria, has ordered complete lockdown in Samba, Ghagwal and Baribrahmana tehsils from July 23 to July 26.
The lockdown order issued by DM states that “It has been noted with concern in last few days after relaxation in lockdown conditions, COVID positive cases have been increasing day by day in tehsil Samba, Ghagwal and Baribrahmana and in order to prevent spread of covid 19 the powers conferred by Section 34 of Disaster Management Act 2005, and under section 144 of Cr. PC 1973 upon me, a complete lockdown has been imposed in Samba, Ghagwal and Bari Brahmana tehsils except the areas falling within Industries complexes of district samba w.e.f 23/07/20 to 26/07/2020.”
As per the order, the essential services i.e Doctor Clinics, chemist shops, homeopathy shops, Ayurvedic shops, testing laboratory, will remain open from 9 AM to 8 PM and grocery shops, Milk shops, bakery shops, fruits and vegetable shops will remain open from 7 am to 12 noon only.
District Administration has strictly warned that any body found violating the order will be dealt firmly.
