Lt. Gen. Anil Chauhan will take over as Chief of Defence Staff on Friday.
He was appointed as CDS on Wednesday.
Gen. Chauhan will be the second CDS of the country. His predecessor was Gen. Bipin Rawat, who had died in a chopper crash on December 2021
