Gunfire, blast reports rock Gulistan-i-Jauhar, 3 Rangers killed in Karachi
Three Sindh Rangers personnel were killed when terrorists rammed a vehicle into the paramilitary force’s headquarters in Karachi’s Gulistan-i-Jauhar. Intense firing followed near University Road, with three attackers neutralised.
A little-known militant group, Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, claimed responsibility for the assault, according to the Associated Press. Pakistani authorities have not yet officially confirmed the claim.
